What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Happy St. Patrick's Day! No green beer for me, but plenty of typing on Chapter Six and ironing out a lot of the idle chit-chat that has clues in it.
Fave line: "The odds are against us finding her parents, and that's probably what they intended. I'll never understand parents like that."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Am I doomed to have a falling apart week? Saturday took my limping cat to the vet and found out Mustard's leg is infected and I have to feed him antibiotics. My umbrella broke as I was going into the vet's. The antibiotics are working already, but this was in the middle of destroying my house to put in two new pieces of furniture and I'm still reassembling old furniture around them. Then this morning, my rolling work bag (which I'm fairly certain I bought around 2001) stopped rolling on my way into the paying job. One swift kick to the wheel later and the wheel is missing one-eighth of its tire. So the work bag is rolling again, but for how long?
What I'm looking forward to: The office is pretty close to done. Now I just have to clean up the mess that transferred to the kitchen and living room.
What I'm not looking forward to: Spraying for termites as soon as the weather cooperates.
