What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Finished Chapter Thirty-Six. The big climax did not take as many words as I thought it would. :p
Fave line: "But we need to have a serious talk about your taste in men."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Survived Christmas, survived the after Christmas sales, survived Monday; what more do you want?
What I'm looking forward to: Bringing order to my house. It'll probably take all four days plus the four days for New Year's to get it done.
What I'm not looking forward to: Sorting through the sewing remains and finishing the inventory of the fabric stash as I repack it.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Finished Chapter Thirty-Five, mainly because I didn't think it would come out that short when I outlined it. Started Chapter Thirty-Six when I still had typing time left.
Fave line: None of them wore green, so he dismissed them.
What Else I Accomplished Today: I got a holiday ham delivery schedule for myself, mean I have to go get it after work tomorrow.
What I'm looking forward to: Bringing order to my house. It'll probably take all four days plus the four days for New Year's to get it done.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Wow, I got a lot of words done in between my cooking misadventures.
Fave line: "Well, Admiral Ackbar, looks like we've found the Riddler's trap." – Finally, a pop culture reference that Bruce did get.
What Else I Accomplished Today: So I bought a new cookbook that gave me a chicken pot pie recipe with a crust. WOOT, I can have my favorite food again. It needs six egg whites. I have four eggs. Okay scratched up a dozen with what Mom's chickens laid today. Oh, the Primal eggnog recipe only uses egg yolks, no leftovers. Mix the dry ingredients for the biscuit crust, no problems. Mix the wet ingredients in the blender that I'm already leery of, the jar gets stuck and I end up unscrewing it from the blades and lose half the liquid.

Luckily the dry mix only needed the half I managed to save, but the results only covered half the pie. Mix up more biscuit but put the liquid in the food processor that doesn't leak. Then I have to mix up more dry ingredients since I have the liquid leftover. The biscuits taste great but didn't rise at all.

Done with that, time to use up the egg yolks in eggnog. Cook the egg and milk mixture slowly on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes, but at the five minute mark I didn't think it was thick enough. 10 minutes: scrambled sugar eggs. Second half of the yolks I managed to turn into eggnog.

Now I'm out of eggs and I never got to cook the brownies.
What I'm looking forward to: Bringing order to my house. It'll probably take all four days plus the four days for New Year's to get it done.
What I'm not looking forward to: Sorting through the sewing remains and finishing the inventory of the fabric stash as I repack it.

Chapter Thirty-Four total: 2047
Total words for first draft: 109,491
What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Finished Chapter Thirty-Four, but it is such a short chapter. I don't want to lose the big oh no by adding another scene.
Fave line: "Either it'll be a chance to laugh when Alfred says I'm doing it all wrong and takes over or good practice for when Stephanie and Tara are old enough for lessons."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Well, it wasn't watching Marvel's Agents of Shield thanks to technical difficulties. Now I need to decide if I want a cable subscription or not.
What I'm looking forward to: Sorting through the sewing remains and finishing the inventory of the fabric stash as I repack it.
What I'm not looking forward to: Giving myself a job that's going to take months.

Seriously, there's the fabric that has been waiting since before July and the paperwork mess in my office that has been waiting for filing for about that long too. It would be great to have one or the other done before New Year's.

TDKR: Wayne Legacy Metrics 106 to 108

So two weeks ago, I was busy typing to post the story before I went to my sister's for Thanksgiving and neglected to post the metrics. Then the week after that, I was busy finishing the sewing project for Dickens on the Strand this past weekend. Now that's all done, so onto the rest of the story.

Seriously, there's the fabric that has been waiting since before July and the paperwork mess in my office that has been waiting for filing for about that long too. It would be great to have one or the other done before New Year's. Okay, let's go back to being ecstatic about no more sewing.
