Sick Work

I feel like crap, so I retreat to something that really doesn't require any thought on my part. I like it when the story is already written in my head.

Metrics
Biker Mice From Mars: Evil Jack: For Worse

New words: 2920
Total words: 11850
What I hate about my writing: Actually, nothing today.
The Good: I can work on it while feeling like I'm going to die.
The Bad: I have no idea if it's good yet or if that's the medication talking.
Fave Vinnie line: "Blowing up bad guys, winning a bike race, that's what I'm dependable for."
Fave Charley line: "You weren't listening to reason, so I went with the cute factor."
Fave Modo line: Modo hasn't said a whole lot in this bit.
Fave Hannah line: "What about an Uncle-Modo-tall robot?"
Fave Throttle line: "We have years on the road, Charley. I can't give up on that until I know there's no hope."
What I'm looking forward to: Hannah twisting Throttle around her finger.
What I'm not looking forward to: A fight between the bros.

Finished a scene!

Finished a scene without even trying. Basically in an effort to prevent boredom at the paying job I've been working on fanfic with no rush to finish.

Metrics
Biker Mice From Mars: Evil Jack: For Worse

New words: 860
Total words: 8370
What I hate about my writing: Jack's not crazy enough.
The Good: Finished scene.
The Bad: Jack needs someone to talk to.
The Weird: Writing a romantic scene with no sound. I kind of know what they said but not having them say it was weird.
Fave Jack line: And he had the video proof of just how boring it was.
What I'm looking forward to: Playing with POV to set-up the complication.
What I'm not looking forward to: Having to put aside the story now that's getting good to work on something with a deadline. :p

Starbucks Experiment Day 9

Progress Bar from Writertopia

Word count doesn't change because I played with illustrations not text. One of tomorrow's goals is to put one file into Adobe and see what I can do with it. I wish I had gotten better response on my request for an artist. *Sigh*

Laissez Bon Temps Rouler Note 2

*Sigh* I think I may have to write a story out of series order again. I keep coming up with such good ideas.

Delphine LaLaurie is the antagonistic vampire in "Laissez Bon Temps Rouler," though I'm probably going to give her a slight name change. Her real name would be too much notoriety to operate under, even now. It was her childer who found out that human vampires don't like Martian blood. She's still upset about that outcome and what the uppity brat of slaves is allowed to do.

Message isn't coded but written in Plutarkian. Throttle and Carbine both can read it.

Rimfire has gotten a promotion in ranks to lieutenant.

Conversation snippet after Sparks has been trying to set up Bay with Modo.
Rimfire: What would Uncle Modo say if he heard you?!
Sparks: Thank you, I hope.

Tala revelations: The reason why she was in outer space at 13, but not the who behind it.

A fortune teller in Jackson Square once told Bay that her life was going to change involving numbers. Bay has interpreted this to mean that one day she will be recognized as a citizen of the United States and get a social security number. Which adds a little more fuel to the fire when anybody suggests she belongs on Mars.

Starbucks Experiment Day 8

Progress Bar from Writertopia

Finished the text on the section on Canterbury Tales and medieval social structure. I still need to illustrate all sections, and would like to write one more section on music but the Educators' Guide can go forward without it.

Next step will be figuring out how to take what I have in Word and make it work in Adobe Publisher. Never worked with Adobe Publisher before, not even sure if it's still called that now.

Starbucks Experiment Day 7

WEEKLY GOAL

Progress Bar from Writertopia

The holidays really messed up the routine I had going for very little output to show for it. Silly distracting house. And I don't even have to feel guilty about the eating out because I have budgeted for it.

Well, it wasn't too bad over New Year's. Most of what I accomplished is rough draft but better than no draft, which is what I had before.

Goal tonight is to finish a section of the Educators' Guide. Now I realize the money crisis prevented me from doing necessary research while at work with the free Internet. *Sigh* Can't write at all without the finances straightened out, so move on. The book I really want to reference is at SLU's library anyway. So my goal just shifted to start a new section, since I haven't finished my research.

Starting word counts: 3151
Ending word counts: 4103

I'm going to keep working at posting these. I got off track with my tallies for November and December. But it is hard deciding what the finished word count is, because the Educators' Guide isn't finished until I assemble it as a PDF.

And just so I don't get off track again:

S.E. Day 1 = Dec. 7, 2007
S.E. Day 2 = Dec. 10, 2007
S.E. Day 3 = Dec. 12, 2007
S.E. Day 4 = Dec. 14, 2007
S.E. Day 5 = Dec. 17, 2007
S.E. Day 6 = Dec. 19, 2007
S.E. Day 7 = Jan. 3, 2007
