What Else Has Happened: Took Mustard to the vet and my parents finally came home.
What I'm looking forward to: The next story.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Got through the scene I skipped and blathered a bit in the author's note about Lara Lor-Van. Plus discovered that I had goofed up in Entwined Fates: Coast City not Star City was almost eaten by a yellow alien.
Fave line: "She was too pregnant to travel safely and after she read the biography that Lois wrote about you, she decided that Bruce and I would 'freak you out' were the terms she used if we went without her. I trust her judgment on people."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Did not get rained on as I went to my appointment.
What Else Has Happened:
What I'm looking forward to: The finish line just a scene away.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Not as much as I counted on getting done. I'm down to two scenes left to write now: the epilogue and the wrestling exercise I skipped over.
Fave line: Clark looked like he was one blow away from toppling over onto the concrete floor.
What Else I Accomplished Today: More sleep. I woke up so exhausted I called in for a day and went back to bed.
What Else Has Happened: I tried to cook. Found out the mung beans had to soak overnight and ended up making crackers instead of biscuits.
What I'm looking forward to: The finish line just two scenes away.

What Else I Accomplished Today: Ran the dishwasher and made red raspberry tea.
What Else Has Happened: The chickens are big enough to knock over their feeder now.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Divided the last scene of Part Three and moved it to Part Four. The section was getting too long. Also while I jotted down the rest of the scene while eating supper, I figured out the verbal interplay between Clark and Diana for the part I skipped.
Fave line: "Didn't install one, sorry; haven't had much need to bang metal out with an anvil and hammer. Why?"
What Else I Accomplished Today: Trip to the chiropractor.
What Else Has Happened: Finally got home around 8 p.m. God-awful traffic.

Fave line: "Activate it? Didn't you see what it did when you hauled it over here?"
What Else I Accomplished Today: Learned that I will make curry from scratch from now on because my expectations of mild versus the packaging expectations of mild do not match.

What Else I Accomplished Today: Appointment with Dr. Jessica.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Barely got this scene started.
Fave line: "Selina says she's in charge of decorating and living quarters are not being assembled her until she can come to the site and approve."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Birthday present and Avengers shirts for me bought. Actually found three with Black Widow in the line-up and in decent poses (yeah, they learned their lessons from that horrible movie poster). However the one marketed to girls was grey with everyone on the team drawn in black line art and "Marvel" in black text box. At least they were full-length portraits. :p The two men's that I bought were in color and everyone was in action poses. *Sigh* At least the Avengers-themed golf set I bought for the birthday present has everyone pictures on it, including the Black Widow.
What Else Has Happened: Wow, the storm that came through Baton Rouge today. Flash flooding, power outages, possible tornado strikes, and I'm having a writer's block on how to start this next section. And the power was off when I got home making it too dark to type.
What I'm looking forward to: Avengers assemble!
What I'm not looking forward to: Traveling during storm aftermath.

What Else Has Happened: I don't want to talk about the rest of the list I didn't do today.

Fave line: "Is that a flash mob reenacting the "Welcome Christmas" song from How the Grinch Stole Christmas?"
What Else I Accomplished Today: Exercised! Despite how my back is messed up again
What Else Has Happened: Went to the chiropractor and back is messed up enough for treatment over a few weeks. Then my FSA card messed up. So I'm cutting off my state administration related rant with a curt I want my old OGB back.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Alfred came up with a sensible solution of course. But that means I have finally killed enough time for Bruce to make the phone call.
Fave line: "Are you subjecting your guests to your random hunger strikes as well, Master Wayne? Miss Diana has threatened to not leave anything for you three to eat."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Exercised! Despite how my back is messed up again
What Else Has Happened: Yesterday on my way home, my car got bumped from behind. No damage but it was enough of a jostle to put my spine out of wack a few weeks early. And the left pelvic bone keeps shifting and throwing my whole left leg off. So I'm considering a walk-in trip to my chiropractor tomorrow or Friday.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Monday I only got in 80 words. Tuesday was much better with 468, and I finally got the boys to talking about the symbols. And I had brainwave of how to open the phone conversation with Babs that will be hysterical after all this serious talk.
Fave line: "We sound like image consultants," Blake said with a chuckle. "You'd look fabulous with a splash of truth."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Tuesday, I swung into Rouse's for grocery shopping for supper supplies. I ended up buying stuff for the weekend cooking and then found stuff that I have found more expensive in other stores. They keep this up and they'll probably be my first stop grocery shop.
What Else Has Happened: Monday was a heavy mail day followed by a traffic accident that sent me the long way home. By the time I got home, more writing wasn't happening.

Fave line: "Look, if Gotham City can turn around in our lifetimes from nothing but poverty, drugs, and corruption to people leaving thank you cards to Batman, the rest of the planet will come around on Superman too."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Cooked some meals for the week (trying to make space in my freezer) and had plans for some baking experiments, which were put on hold thanks to missing key ingredient.
What Else Has Happened: The sun finally returned and OMG the mud stinks.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Gah, it's like pulling teeth again. I think I made a mistake keeping this section in Bruce's POV even though I want to fix Jonathan's maybe scene. Hopefully tomorrow will go better.
Fave line: "Wandering around helping random people was a better outlet of frustration than mine. Nothing like spending your twenties trying to understand the criminal mind so hard you end up in prison."
What Else I Accomplished Today: The car is fixed and the kitchen is clean and electrified so I can cook in it tomorrow.
What Else Has Happened: So that teaser finally dropped. And no, I'm actually excited I can start a new Christmas present tradition with Star Wars now that the Hobbit is finished. You know the trailer that concerns this series. I saw the gif sets and images, so I went and watched it. First reaction: "I am so glad that's NOT the direction I went with for Trinity. Second reaction: "Bleeding? Such a Miller direction, but I guess they're saving the I'm the Goddamn Batman sound bite for the full trailer." Third reaction: "One of those anti-Superman voiceovers must be Luthor, and for the first time in my fan-life, I'm AGREEING with fucking Lex Luthor." In short, my initial done-with-DC movies when they first announced using the Dark Knight Returns as source material has not been changed AT ALL. I'll be saving my money for the Wonder Woman movie (which they will screw up, but we are so fucking overdue for a Wonder Woman movie I will give them my money to show that) and the Aquaman movie because the costume image and what the actor has said about using his Polynesian heritage makes me excited for it.
What I'm looking forward to: The end of the rain. Please, I don't want to have to build a boat.
What I'm not looking forward to: The mess I will make in the kitchen as I cook tomorrow.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Gah, it took all day, but I finally got over 340 words into the story.
Fave line: "I'll never forget the winter I freaked Mom out going out in the snow barefoot. Her name is Martha too."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Found actual European feta cheese at Whole Foods. They have revamped that section of the store since I've been there last. European because American feta cheese is made with cow's milk and I want to see if the sinuses flare up without it. If they don't, I'll probably experiment with goat cheese next.
What Else Has Happened: Car parts are in. The car goes into the shop tomorrow.
What I'm looking forward to: A car with functioning air conditioning.
What I'm not looking forward to: The bill for a car with functioning air conditioning. Now spraying down the kitchen to kill the carpenter ants while it's storming and not killing myself in the process. And hopefully, it will stop raining so I can find someone to help me with my electricity.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: So my story is not 20,000 words long and I changed all my metrics to reflect what I estimate it will be. Consequently, I barely got any words actually in the story itself.
Fave line: "Because the human race has been so kind to him before?"
What Else I Accomplished Today: Poisoned carpenter ants, did not poison me. Managed to cook without a decent light source.
What Else Has Happened: I got home to a breaker tripped that killed the light on my back porch and kitchen and a carpenter ant infestation in the kitchen. My LED lantern doesn't put out the same amount of light I'm used to.
What I'm looking forward to: A car with functioning air conditioning.

What Else I Accomplished Today: So Sunday I cleaned and didn't make it to writing again. Monday was swamped and I had to work late at the paying job. Tuesday, I needed to update my blood sugar spreadsheet and that spilled over onto Wednesday but I did find time before I went to bed to type story.
What Else Has Happened: I'm on chicken babysitting duty now.

Fave line: "But right now I need a please don't hurt me because I knew the truth and you didn't guess right present."
What Else I Accomplished Today: A1C blood work done but I have to wait on results, which I'm not used to.
What Else Has Happened: The car AC, woof. The shop came back with I need to replace the compressor kit again an over $900 hit because without a working compressor they can't even find the leak. So I have to wait to see what my resources look like after I get paid next week. It's annoying because if I blew off all my other bills I still wouldn't be able to cover it. :p I should have asked them if we could work out a payment plan.
What I'm looking forward to: Everyone to make their April plans so I can make mine.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Wow, I actually got some words written today. Go me.
Fave line: "You didn't tell her when you and Lucius fixed her up with a suit?"
What Else I Accomplished Today: The story file is now divided into four files, I'm working from the laptop's hard drive, backing up on the Monster solid state drive, copying that onto the home desktop, and will probably keep a copy in Google Docs too. Why? I opened everything up to write today and the story file, the over thirty pages long story file that I hadn't backed up anywhere else since last Friday, refused to open and told me it was corrupted. I eventually had to get IT help in order to get my words back. This story has a happy ending because my IT hero managed to get everything back by the end of the work day and after I decided I would be happy to get to where I just needed to retype Thursday's work. On the off chance that the size of the file is what caused the issue, I broke it up in the spots I think I will publish it in.
What Else Has Happened: I was the last left at the paying job again today. I'd probably feel better about that if I already had a vacation scheduled.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Finished Lois and Selina's bonding chat. So that means I get to start the men's bonding chat tomorrow and finally fix Jonathan Kent's "Maybe" scene.
Fave line: "Wow, what an asshole. Great, assholes are a universal truth we can't get away from. I'm glad Clark won."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Finished taxes last night, exercised. Saturday should be free for blood work and car AC repair.
What Else Has Happened: Paying job drama. Last year or maybe getting closer to two years, my section was merged with another but the job duties have never been split or shared. Higher-ups in the division are not pleased about this. My direct supervisor is retiring, taking the incentive to encourage people to go so we don't have to lay workers off. There is a distinct possibility that one of us will be taking over her job duties with no title nor pay increase. Sending out the assessments will be interesting this year.

It might make it a little better when the nightmare inevitable comes that my trigger finger was too slow and Bane's vaporized but Batman's head is nothing but a blood smear on marble tiles followed by waking up in a arid hellhole with only morning sickness to remind me that it really didn't happen that way."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Well, I discovered I gain ten pounds over the weekend. I discovered my pants were snug back on Saturday and still snug today, so scale time. *Sigh*
What Else Has Happened: Yeah, I'll be strictly watching what I eat this week and exercise.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Okay, today felt like good work day judging effort on my part. I don't trust the numbers because there were days in the past week that I took off of the story in which I did managed to write a sentence or two but never had an extended period of writing. Today I got that.
Fave line: Really, she would have more respect for him if he had just talked to the military instead of seeing him on CNN while she was getting dressed for work.
What Else I Accomplished Today: Dosed whatever I'm coming down with and went to bed on time.
What Else Has Happened: Paying job got snippy about priorities, so I had to not pull the laptop out for about a week. That has died down, but Monday we found out that a coworker's son died over the weekend. He turned even the year I started working at the DOI and would have turned 21 in December this year. Needless to say, we're all still reeling with shock.
What I'm looking forward to: Spring.
What I'm not looking forward to: The funeral on Saturday.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: I know what I haven't been doing is my daily metrics when I can actually remember when I typed what.
Fave line: "Brain Gerhardsson broke into tears when he saw the Sears store. I didn't have the heart to tell him about the truck through the roof here after that."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Discovered an interesting quirk with the solid state drive, the beat sheet file disappeared. I backed up everything to the desktop and copied over the last version, so no information lost. But I wouldn't delete that file so I didn't know why it had disappeared. This morning, it's back on the solid state drive. I'm going to be more careful about ejecting it before turning the laptop because that is the only thing I can think of that might be causing it.
What I'm looking forward to: Spring.
What I'm not looking forward to: Painting the front porch.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: I've been writing steady since February 19th, but forgot to fill out the metrics posts. :p I think I was anxious about putting the first scene into narrative. The visual and most of the dialogue, easy; military jargon and procedures, no clue. It's over now and I'm in Metropolis after movie footage so hopefully less to get bogged down in.

In secondary news, I'm typing the rough draft directly onto the laptop. So far it is working out while traveling back and forth to work.
Fave line: "Holy shit, you're Batman." – Do you have any idea how hard it is to come up with Holy whatever that's not cussing when that's really the first thought in your head? Or yeah, I finally gave one to a character whose first instinct is to cuss.
What Else I Accomplished Today: Bork, nothing really. This was a hibernating weekend.
What I'm looking forward to: Spring.
What I'm not looking forward to: Painting the front porch.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: Finished Chapter Thirty-Nine and shunted the second half of what I wrote into Chapter Forty, since it only has two rough draft pages. Now it won't feel like a tacked on after-thought. Then when I got home I needed to wait on my dishwasher and ended up finishing Chapter Forty.
Fave line: "It's like living in a giant aquarium."
What Else I Accomplished Today: Ran the dishwasher, and completely avoided working on the office clean-up.
What I'm looking forward to: Rest of the month: I'm hoping that I'll finally be able to afford what I promised myself I could buy after I paid my car off back in March of last year.
What I'm not looking forward to: The actual CLEANING I have to do. Plus sorting through the sewing remains and finishing the inventory of the fabric stash as I repack it. I'm down to the office and the living room. If I can chip away at the office for the rest of the week, I can spend all weekend on the living room.

Fave line: "Uncle John found a subway?"
What Else I Accomplished Today: I cooked and cleaned the kitchen after I did it. I didn't clean in the office at all, but we can't have everything.

What I Accomplished in the Narrative Today: I could have gotten more typed, but I got distracted. I'm also considering shifting some of Chapter Thirty-Nine to the woefully short Chapter Forty. Don't know how to do it yet.
Fave line: "Selina, did you plan on a dead body being down here?"
What Else I Accomplished Today: Hemmed one pair of pants, and it was pulling teeth to make me do that.

I've turned my entire living room into an invisible corner as long as that means I don't have to touch sewing again. Which means I have to, I still have repairs to the Victorian Blue and two more pants to hem.

What Else I Accomplished Today: The kitchen is reset. And since I had to get tools out of the kitchen, the back porch is reset now.
